Lately. And Some Links!

I've been a little MIA lately... been contemplating a few things, feeling lazy and avoiding turning on my laptop!

For starters, I've been thinking about changing things up around here. I really, really want to change my blog name. I think I have a new name picked out that I like. The only catch is that I will have to put the word 'blog' into the URL. Not quite sure what I think about that.! Hopefully I'll make a decision about this sooner than later.

Lot's has been happening around us. Some, okay all, of which has been making me feel out of sorts and has put me into a funk. As a result, my motivation to do anything has dwindled.

We also started playing HayDay on the iPad. BIG mistake. We are hooked and are spending too much time playing it. We have also been watching a lot of the Olympics. Another reason why this hasn't seen much love.

What I'm reading on the WWW....

+ 7 Herbal Remedies for Stress.

+ How to Fall Asleep when Your Mind Won't Shut Off.

+ Why Major Creative Breakthroughs happen in Your Late Thirties.

What I'm cooking...

+ Best Bread Machine Bread.

+ Chicken Broccoli Divan.

+ Roast Beef with Peppers and Onions.

Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. And find links!

Five days since my last post. To say that I have been sucking at keeping up with my blog this month would be an understatement. I will apologize in advance because I cannot guarantee that it will get any better. At least not for the next 2 - 3 weeks.

I have all these post ideas, just no time. And maybe no desire to turn on my computer after a long day. Plus, all my free time is being spent getting ready for the holidays. I promise to share some photos shortly - we have been kicking butt at decorating our apartment for Christmas. It looks amazing.

Anyways, for the month of December, this is my life: work, eat, sleep and repeat. Enough about me, here are some cool links that I have stumbled upon these past few days that I wanted to share.

+ I am loving these photos. Adorable.

+ Ho ho ho, so cool.

+ This appetizer looks so delicious.

+ Love is soooo important!

+ Living a healthier life.

+ Am I crazy to live here? Perhaps!

+ Loving all these stocking stuffers.

Lately. And Some Links.

I forgot what it's like to work five, 8 hour days in a row.. work, eat, sleep and repeat!

I finally have two days off and I can't wait. I am tired. So very, very tired! As much as I would love to spend the next two days doing nothing, I need to get my shit together for the holidays.

I found out the other day that my boyfriend will be staying home for Christmas this year (I am beyond excited to spend it with him!) and I have a feeling that December is going to be a busy month with work. So, I must get ahead of the game and start my planning and shopping now!

Anyways, onto more exciting things - a few links I have been loving this week!

+ This YouTube video, Spock vs Spock, sooo funny!

+ 4 Clever Things You Can Do with Facebook Photo Albums.

+ Smile.

+ I am kinda loving this DIY idea, might have to give it a try next summer.

+ Great read, very inspiring - Negative Beliefs Harm your Health.

+ I love finding new potato recipes, this one looks so yummy.

+ I am participating in a fantastic giveaway over at Sunny with a Chance of Sprinkles.

+ I am also participating in another giveaway, hosted by Organized Chaos.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Lately in Photos. And Some Links.

+ I have been stopping by my parents house more often to visit this handsome guy. I really do miss seeing him every day.

+ Did you check out the freebies I shared the other day from Creative Market? I am LOVING the 28 Photography Actions. I edited this above photo that my boyfriend's sister took of us with one of the actions.

+ Lately, I have started eating broccoli. WHAT?! If you recall, broccoli and I don't like each other. Things changed after I had the stomach flu, my stomach changed. Or maybe my mind changed. Either way, I started liking foods that I hated before. The boyfriend is thrilled because our dinner menu is growing!

+ The apple strudel muffins that I have been making have been such a hit that I am planning to change things up and make these banana crumb muffins. They look so delicious!

+ Last month I shared the health benefits of hot cocoa, today I finally found classic hot chocolate recipe that you can enjoy without having to sacrifice your clean eating plan.

+ 4 Simple Goals Wallpaper - a great reminder of the goals you are working on this month.

+ Must read: 39 Life Lessons I've Learned in 39 Years.

+ Loving this song from Twin Forks. Yes, another song from my new favorite tv show, Reign.

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

3 Things // Try, Make & Do.

>>> Try.

Been itching to try something new with my hair. Haven't been able to decide if I want to keep it long'ish, or cut it short (shoulder length). I have always loved the messy hair look that Casey always seems to pull off so well, so may give it a try this week.

>>> Make.

Now that fall's weather is here, it's time to start cooking warm meals again. I absolutely love spaghetti, and have been wanting to make turkey meatballs for sometime now! Mmmmmm!

>>> Do.

I saw this DIY the other day and fell in love with it. I have been eyeing all of our apartment walls to determine if we too can do something similar. We have a lot of glass windows, so I may have to hang onto this one for the next place we live in.

What are three things you want to try, make and do?

Cheers to the Fricken' Weekend!

What are your plans for this weekend? It's St. Patrick's day on Sunday! Anyways, thank goodness its Friday! This week was beyond crazy for me, so I am looking forward to hopefully a relaxing day at work tomorrow (yep, I work six days/week) and a much needed day off on Sunday. Instead of my regular Friday's Letters today, I thought I would share a few of my favorite links this past week (or two)...!

+ I love, love bloglovin' and being able to organize all the blogs I follow. But I'm a little confused -- earlier this evening, I had 190 odd followers, now its says I only have 100. What the heck? Has anybody else noticed this on theirs?

+ I am going shopping on Sunday and will probably spend way too much at this store. I am loving all of their new Spring 2013 arrivals.

+ Heather posted about her experience with putting olive oil in her hair to help with dryness from blow drying and straightening. Have you ever tried this? I think I may have to try it over Easter weekend!

+ Lemon Chicken Romano, oh this looks so delicious! I also love all the recipes on Cooking Classy!

+ Fonts, fonts, fonts. I am addicted to this. 50 Fonts | Best for Wedding Invitations. I only booked marked this link because I love finding fonts. Not all are free, but some are!

+ Table for Two is my second new favorite go-to-site for finding new recipes.

+ I think I should go and buy some essential oils for the next time I get a bad headache! Much better than popping lots of pills!

Weekend Bookmark Dump.

Finally, its the weekend! I still can't believe February has come and gone so quickly. I honestly feel like I have not accomplished anything (I'll get into that in another post!) ... wake up, go to work, come home, blog, cook dinner, watch tv, go to sleep and repeat. Next month is going to be hell for me because I will be working 7 days/week for an entire month. I am already exhausted just thinking about it. Enough about me, here are a few of my favorite bookmarks from this past week.

1 // I am loving this article on the MindBodyGreen website, 5 Steps to Making Your Own Rules.

2 // I may be addicted almost all things Roxy; they have this new collection DVF coming out March 7th -- I am really excited.

3 // Who knew you could grow green onions in water?! Until recently, I had no idea. I was a little skeptical at first, but I tried it the other day and it works. Not all of them grew, some of the little side bits died, but I am quite impressed!

4 // Have you ever heard of the website Good? I subscribe to their daily emails and every so often find articles, etc to read. I just found out they have a tumblr page, very cool!

5 // Currently, I am in love with this pink bracelet and these push pins. I work part-time at a Yacht Club, so this bracelet would be perfect for my wrist. *hint hint*

6 // The Dollar Store Workout, some good ideas for those wanting to work out at home without wanting to spend lots of money.

7 // These Oven Roasted Potatoes look so delicious!

Did you come across any cool websites this past week? Share your links in the comments below! I love finding new websites/articles to read. :)

Weekend Bookmark Dump.

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I spent Saturday at work, and today I went grocery shopping to Costco with my mom. When I got home with over $100 worth of food, we decided to do some baking -- we now have chocolate chips muffins and banana bread for the week. It's currently 7:00 pm and I am exhausted, and hungry. It's going to be a late, late night for dinner!

Anyways, I have been stumbling across some pretty sweet new websites, blogs and other cool links lately, so I thought I should start sharing my finds!!

1 // I am absolutely loving this youtube video of a cute puppy playing with a doorstop.

2 // I have decided that once I eat up all the eggo waffles in the freezer, I am going to start making breakfast smoothies. I found this strawberry oatmeal smoothie which looks very delicious! If you know of any other tasty and healthy recipes, please share!

3 // Just the other day I discovered a new recipe/food blog, I am in love with all of her recipes, especially the Chicken Alfredo Pizza which we made the other night. Delicious!!

4 // I am loving some of these healthy baking substitutes.

5 // Need some new workout songs? I found these 100 workout songs to help put the boom-boom back into your zoom-zoom.

That's all I got for now, will share more soon!!

Today I am linking up with:
