Today...

... my mom asked me to stop by the house to check on the dog. As soon as I drove into our driveway, I saw these two little brown eyebrows looking out the window. How did he know? Did he hear me from down the street? Maybe? When I opened the front door, he was lying down with his tail wagging, it was really cute. We hung out for a little bit, shared some turkey meat that I found in the fridge and he suggested I take a handful of halloween candy to take with me (that's what I am telling my mom when she realizes half her candy stash is gone).

... we spent $100 on groceries. Yikes! Milk, moza cheese, chips, salsa, tomato sauce, coke, vegetables, pizza dough, yogurt, chicken, and much more. Besides maybe having to get more milk, hopefully all this food will last us for the next week, or two. I have a few tasty meals planned for this week -- I will post photos and recipes when I get around to cooking them.

... I am so tired. Its only 6:45 pm and I could fall asleep. For the past few weeks, I hadn't been sleeping well throughout the nights. Its really caught up to me now and all I want to do is sleep. I can't wait until next weekend because I get two days off ... so excited!!

  1. Looking forward to seeing those recipes! (food fan here ;)

Our pug Lila hears my husband's car even when I can't see it coming yet. She hears it from way down the street and alerts our other dog and our foster dog so they all kind of go crazy on my husband when he gets home. He has is very own welcoming committee.

    Yay for long weekends!!

  2. That dog is adorable. I love when I get greeted by my dogs at the front door. They can hear my Dad's car coming down the street, they go crazy! $100 on groceries for the week isn't bad! When I buy groceries I make a breakdown of the number of meals I'm going to eat for the week and feel better about the amount I spent. It's cheaper than eating out!

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. I have trained my dog to talk to my parents when they come home; as soon as he sees my mom's vehicle pull up in the drive way, he will bark and howl, it sounds like he is saying "I love you.."

  3. haha, my husband and I spent that much last week and were basically in shock. We DID buy a lot that we don't normally purchase, but still...a lot of money for food for two people.

I found you on followers to friends, and I'm now a new follower. You blog is so cute.

    1. It adds up quickly! A lot of the stuff we bought we also put in the freezer for other meals, so it will last for a week or two.

Thanks for following, I am now following you as well!!
