4 Simple Goals...Update #1!

At the end of October, I set 4 simple goals for myself. To be honest, I set some really simple goals for myself and I had thought maybe I would fly through them. Ha, ha, ha, in my dreams!

Where I stand as of today:

1. Drink more water every day.

I have been drinking more water than normal, but I should be drinking a lot more. However, I have made it a point to only drink water before I got to bed, no soda pop.

2. Practice my iphoneography.

I have been playing around a bit and have taken some pretty sweet photos lately (you can check them out on my instagram), but would like to spend some more time on this goal. I do have a great book sitting on my bedroom floor that I need to read.

3. Try a new slow cooker meal.

Not yet, hopefully soon. We have whole chicken sitting in the freezer waiting to be cooked. I suspect we'll probably end up doing it in the slow cooker. What I would really like to try is a butter chicken recipe in the slow cooker!! Any suggestions?

4. Finish reading the The Happiness Project

So close, but still so far. I have managed to read through an entire chapter. One step at a time, right?!

Anyways ... that's my progress so far. Hopefully my next update will be how I have finished reading my book and have made a delicious butter chicken dinner in the slow cooker!

How are your goals coming along?

  1. I love your simple goals! You remind me that I don't need to always go all out! I cook everything in the slow cooker! I absolutely love that thing! I don't think you really need recipes....just go for it! It's hard to mess it up!

    1. I find when I do go all out, I never achieve them. I love my slow cooker, I just need to use it more. I'm not always a morning person, so trying to throw it all together before work is a pain. I really have to be organized the night before so it can cook while I am out!

  2. This is a wonderful idea! I need to do this for myself, it's so much better when your goals are concrete. And slow-cooker meals are seriously life-changing. They are perfect for late fall/winter.

    1. Keep your goals simple, very very important! I find they are much more attainable! Oh and by sharing them on my blog, then I have to follow through, or at least try!! :)

  3. Slow cookers rock. Turn that baby on in the morning, chuck in some meat and veg and by dinner time it's crumbly soft and tastes amazing. We eat so many slow cooker meals here in winter that I miss it in summer!

  4. Haha no worries Chelsea! I made a list of November goals and one of them was to drink more water. I'm definitely drinking more still not enough:( Why is it so difficult? I also wanted to go to ballet class at least once a week. I haven't gone once for the month. But that's gonna change 'cause I'm going next week no matter what! P.S. I love my slow cooker. Check out my pinterest page for recipes:)
