No more excuses.

Earlier this week, Chelsea over at Yours Truly posted about this 30 Day Shred challenge. Her post both intrigued and motivated me. I quickly got my hands onto the three videos and started this challenge on Tuesday night.

What is the 30 Day Shred? Well, it consists of three 20-minute workouts, each of which features, in rapid succession, short bursts of strength, cardio and abs, and a cool-down.

Sound easy, right? Think again...!

I felt pretty good afterwards, but the next day, oh my goodness, I was in pain. Every possible muscle in my body hurt. I didn't want to take a day off, but I had no choice but to relax on Wednesday. Today, was my attempt at day two. Muscles were still fairly sore, but I gave it my best.

There is talk of going somewhere tropical this winter for Christmas so I have about three months to get my butt into shape!! Wish me luck!

  1. ugh. 30 day shred kills me. I usually don't last very long. I wish you the best of luck with it. I have found that once I know the workout well enough, I put Jillian on mute and listen to my favorite work out music instead. Definitely helps me stay more motivated :)

  5. Lol this work out reminds me of the one I did after I had my daughter, it's called kettleworx (you can google it) it's like 20 mins of intense exercise 3 times per week plus a cool down. I was like hmmmm 20 minutes 3 times per week.... sounds perfect right ?Well let me tell you, I certainly got the results I was after, but the regime was so intense I felt physically sick every time I did it and I never even progressed from level 1 (I am a bit of a light weight exerciser though) but hey, it worked, and I haven't done any exercise since (about 2 years!).
I am hosting a blog hop today over at my blog :-)
